Spring Cleaning Checklist

Happy Spring 2022! This spring promises to be a busy and exciting season for businesses, as they prepare to welcome back new customers in a post-Covid world.

One feature of this new world: a clean space is more essential than it’s ever been before. Follow these simple steps before the spring rush of customers is in full swing to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable space for everyone.

Clean Your Storefront

Make your first impression on visitors a great one by cleaning doors, polishing door handles, and picking up any trash around your entrance. Sweeping your front walk and perhaps adding a new welcome mat can help make your storefront look inviting.

Get Rid of Old Merchandise

Before cleaning your store’s interior, clear out any merchandise that’s cluttering up the space. Holding a clearance sale is a great way to reconnect with old customers while accomplishing some needed de-cluttering. Go through your inventory carefully and markdown any items that must go.

Rethink Your Layout

Like the rest of us, your customers will have less tolerance for overcrowding post-Covid. So reevaluate your layout. Give careful thought to those areas that tend to become congested and what you can do to make the traffic flow more freely.

Deep Clean Ceilings and Floors

Start by examining all your ceiling fans and lighting fixtures for needed repairs. Clean out air vents and top shelves. Then take the time to wax and refinish your flooring and deep clean (or even replace) your carpets.

Clean the Stockroom

This area is often overlooked but, your employees will be much happier and more productive if the stockroom is clean and organized. So give special attention to any dirt and clutter in the stockroom and break room to ensure maximum focus.

If this list seems like too much to tackle, talk to the team at Service Fort. We will gladly help your business prepare for a clean, happy, profitable spring season this year.
